Goat’s milk contains AHA components such as lactic acid which aid in breaking down bonds between dead skin cells, thus helping to remove them from the skins surface. This allows new skin to absorb moisture, restorative proteins, minerals, and vitamins.
Vitamins & Minerals
Specifically, goat’s milk is loaded with Vitamin A, which boosts the skin’s natural repair process. Studies have even shown that cosmetic products high in Vitamin A can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help control acne, and provide relief to many other skin irritating conditions. Also noted are vitamins C, D, E, B6, and B12. Minerals are abundant in goat’s milk. Including Calcium, Zinc, and most importantly Selenium. Selenium is believed by scientists to have an important role in preventing skin cancer. It can also help prevent skin damage caused by sun exposure.
Fatty Acids & Proteins
Raw goat’s milk is full of cream and fat molecules that quickly get absorbed by the skin. This provides a protective and hydrating barrier. It also naturally contains glycerin which boosts moisturizing qualities.
What makes our soap special?
Our soaps are not made to have a very strong scent. Some have more fragrance than others, but we focus mostly on the beneficial properties that each essential oil offers. We only use Young Living essential oil to ensure you and your family “get the very best nature has to offer”.
As you may have already noticed, our soap typically ranges in color from tan to brown. No additional lab colorants or micas are used in our recipes. If colors are present, they are created using natural ingredients such as herbs, vegetable powders, and clay. Many of these things we grow and process ourselves – without harmful chemicals, pesticides, or preservatives.
We do make exceptions for custom orders!
If you are interested in a specific scent or color please let me know and I will do my best to create exactly what you’re looking for. After all, soaping is an art!
Examples of custom orders:
Stronger scented bars using Bramble Berry fragrances
Specific milk or liquid preference (breast milk, cows milk, tea, beer, wine)
